Toyota Highlander vehicles have a defective seam that causes loud noise, distracting customers while driving.

Toyota Highlander 2021 and 2022 models have a defective hood seal between the radiator and the hood. As a result, drivers are hearing loud and distracting whistling noises coming from their cars when they drive at highway speeds. Customers are using tape to seal the spot where they hear the noise.

In response, some Toyota dealerships have told customers that this is a standard issue and refuse to fix the problem. Dealerships have told customers that they cannot fix the issue under warranty until Toyota acknowledges the issue because otherwise they won’t be compensated for any warranty work. Audi recently settled a class action due to its vehicles’ brakes making a squealing noise.
