Crypto.com is advertising a higher yield rate for its Visa credit card than it actually offers, potentially misleading consumers.

Recently, Crypto.com notified cardholders that beginning on May 1, customers would earn reward points at a reduced rate.

However, in their advertising materials, particularly on Reddit, but also on their website, Crypto.com continues to advertise the 8% rewards figure. Customers may have claims for false advertising.

Crypto.com’s terms of service includes a mandatory arbitration clause and a class action waiver.

Staples settled a similar lawsuit in 2018 over claims that they did not follow through on rewards that they promised to customers.
