Google experienced a massive data breach in its Google Chrome browser, compromising the data of up to 3.2 billion users.

On March 25, Google announced a massive data breach due to a zero day security exploit that affected its Google Chrome browser, potentially compromising the information of its over 3 billion users.

The result of the breach is not yet clear, but data breach class action lawsuits have gone forward in the past without any concrete damages. One such lawsuit was filed against Equifax in connection with its massive 2017 data breach. A smaller data breach class action was filed in 2021 against CaptureRx for a data breach of patients personally identifiable information (PII) and personal health information (PHI).
