The HP Omen laptop advertises its battery life as up to 8 hours of mixed usage, and up to 10 hours of video playback.  

However, consumers are complaining that the battery life does not last anywhere near the advertised time, even with non heavy usage.  Consumers state that the maximum battery life they get from the laptop is 4 hours, and it can be as little as one hour for some consumers.                                                                         

When consumers contact HP support to fix the issue, the battery life still does not improve. 

Asus was subject to a similar class action for its laptop’s inadequate battery life performance. The case settled for $12M. HP’s terms of sale do not contain an arbitration provision.
