Macbook Air M1 contains a backlight leaking defect.

Macbook Air M1 customers have reported backlight bleeding along the corner of the laptop screen. Backlight bleeding is an effect where light leaks around the edges of the screen, making it unevenly lit which gets worse over time.

Most customers notice this within the warranty period and opt to return the computer for a new one. However, customers are upset that they experience this defect in a $1,000+ computer.

Customers filed a similar lawsuit against Apple for screen display issues on MacBook Pros purchased before 2016.
