Users of the PleX media streaming service have reported several gaps in PleX’s parental controls, allowing accounts that purport to be restricted from accessing certain content to access that content nonetheless.
A similar class action lawsuit was filed against Snapchat in July 2016, alleging that it had exposed minors to sexually explicit content without any sort of parental controls to moderate that exposure.
PleX’s terms of service includes both a mandatory arbitration provision and a class action waiver.
